PORTFOLIO | COMMISSIONED WORKCHRISSY PIPER started carrying a camera at a very early age, her first shoot documenting all angles of a trash can while she waited for Oscar the Grouch to pop out. She raced BMX bikes from 9-17yrs old, which is when she was introduced to punk music, which inspired her to merge her two loves: photography and music. Soon after, she began shooting live shows and traveled internationally with bands, documenting their travels. Her first published photo is a live shot of Henry Rollins, featured in his book "High Adventures in the Great Outdoors" (1990). Chrissy's first book "The Unheard Music" (PA Kane, 1997) is a collection of black and white live shots and portraits documenting her time and travels with bands between 1991-1997. In 1997 Chrissy moved to NYC, where she began shooting for a wide range music, entertainment, and fashion clients. Chrissy currently lives in Los Angeles. Her work has been shown in galleries throughout the US and abroad.
